1. Competition Organiser

The Acceleration Challenge competitions are organised by:

D4C CUSTOMS LTD
Company Registration Number: 17509265
128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom

Website: https://cromcars.com
Email: [email protected]

D4C CUSTOMS LTD trades through the CROMCARS website and is referred to in these Rules as the “Promoter”.

2. Purpose of These Rules

These Rules govern participation in CROMCARS Acceleration Challenge competitions.

Each competition is a separate event involving a specified vehicle, a prediction task, official performance measurements and a published prize.

These Rules must be read alongside the CROMCARS General Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Free Postal Entry Policy and any competition-specific conditions.

Where a competition-specific provision differs from these Rules, the more specific provision applies to that competition, provided it is lawful and was disclosed before entry.

3. Key Competition Information

Each competition page must identify:

The competition page and these Rules together form the applicable competition terms.

4. Eligibility

Participation is available only to individuals who meet the published age, residency and legal eligibility requirements.

Participants must provide accurate identity and contact information.

The Promoter may request reasonable evidence of age, identity, residence and eligibility before awarding a prize.

Employees, directors and persons directly responsible for determining official results should not participate in competitions they administer.

[TO CONFIRM: Minimum age, eligible countries and any additional exclusions.]

5. Separate Competitions

Every Acceleration Challenge is administered independently.

Predictions and entries allocated to one competition cannot automatically be transferred to another.

Where a merchandise order qualifies for entries in a named competition, those entries are associated with that competition only.

The Promoter will maintain records identifying each entry, its participant, the associated competition and the applicable entry route.

6. The Acceleration Prediction Challenge

Participants must predict the time required for the specified vehicle to reach each of the following distances:

Distance Required prediction
100 metres MM.mmm
200 metres MM.mmm
300 metres MM.mmm
400 metres MM.mmm
500 metres MM.mmm
600 metres MM.mmm
800 metres MM.mmm
1000 metres MM.mmm

Each valid prediction set contains eight individual predicted times.

Participants should use their knowledge of vehicle performance, acceleration, traction, power, gearing and other relevant factors to estimate the results.

Predictions must comply with any published input restrictions and must be recorded in the required format.

7. Official Vehicle Performance Results

Official acceleration times are established using the vehicle and timing procedure identified for the competition.

CROMCARS uses Dragy timing technology for recording relevant vehicle performance measurements.

The official results must be recorded and retained in a manner that permits reasonable verification.

Where appropriate, the Promoter may publish supporting timing information, screenshots or recordings.

These details must be fixed and disclosed before entries are accepted, rather than selected retrospectively to favour a particular result.

8. Competition Scoring

Each of the eight distances contributes a maximum of 100 points.

The maximum total score is therefore:

8 distances × 100 points = 800 points.

Predictions are evaluated against the official recorded acceleration times using the scoring algorithm implemented for the competition.

The participant’s total score is calculated from the scores awarded for the eight distances.

The entry with the highest valid total score ranks first, subject to the published tie-breaking rules.

9. Tie-Breaking

Where two or more valid entries achieve the same total score, the competition system applies its published tie-breaking procedure.

The confirmed methodology compares the percentage errors at individual distances, starting with the longest distance and proceeding towards the shortest distance.

The order is:

1000 m → 800 m → 600 m → 500 m → 400 m → 300 m → 200 m → 100 m.

At the first distance where the tied entries have different applicable percentage errors, the entry with the smaller error ranks higher.

10. Merchandise-Linked Entries

Certain CROMCARS merchandise purchases may include a stated number of Acceleration Challenge entries.

The relevant product page must clearly identify the associated competition and the entry allocation.

For example, where expressly advertised, one qualifying merchandise item may provide ten prediction entries.

The allocation must reflect the actual product configuration and order quantity.

An eligible entry is recorded only when the relevant purchase and entry-allocation conditions have been satisfied.

Buying merchandise does not guarantee winning a prize.

The statutory consumer rights associated with physical merchandise remain applicable.

11. Free Postal Entry Route

NO PURCHASE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE THROUGH THE FREE POSTAL ENTRY ROUTE.

Eligible participants may submit a free entry by post to:

D4C CUSTOMS LTD – Free Entry
128 City Road
London, EC1V 2NX
United Kingdom

Each postal request must clearly identify:

[TO CONFIRM: Whether date of birth, telephone number or other identification is required.]

Predictions must be clearly legible and expressed in the prescribed format.

The participant is responsible for ordinary postage costs. No merchandise purchase or premium-rate communication is required.

Valid postal entries will be manually recorded in the same competition administration system used for other entries.

They will be scored and ranked using the same applicable methodology.

The Promoter must not operate the free route in a manner that unfairly disadvantages otherwise valid postal participants.

12. Postal Entry Processing

Postal entries must arrive within the deadline specified for the competition.

The Promoter will check each request for legibility, completeness and eligibility.

Valid submissions will be entered manually into the competition system.

The Promoter will maintain appropriate administrative records of receipt and processing.

A submission should not lose its eligibility solely because of the Promoter’s internal processing delay after timely receipt.

The final results must not be confirmed until all timely received and valid postal entries have been processed.

Incomplete or illegible requests may be rejected where the published requirements have not been met.

The Promoter must ensure that the published postal address is capable of receiving correspondence.

13. Entry Records and Confirmation

The competition system records entries, prediction values and relevant submission details.

Online participants may access their predictions through the applicable account or competition interface.

Postal participants will have their valid predictions recorded by an authorised administrator.

Entry records must be maintained in a manner that permits investigation of genuine administrative errors or disputes.

14. Editing Predictions

Where the competition interface permits editing, online participants may amend predictions until the applicable lock deadline.

Once the predictions have been locked, further editing is not permitted.

After the official results are published, entries and predictions are read-only.

The Promoter must apply a clear, published amendment policy to postal entries.

15. Closing the Competition

Each competition has a published closing date and time.

After closure, the Promoter will stop accepting new entries, except where an expressly published and lawful procedure applies to postal submissions already in transit.

Any extension, early closure or interruption must be handled fairly, transparently and in accordance with the published rules.

The Promoter must not retrospectively change closing conditions to favour or disadvantage particular participants.

16. Publication of Official Results

Following completion of the official timing procedure and validation of the competition records, the Promoter will publish the relevant acceleration results.

The results will identify the official times used for scoring.

The system will calculate scores and produce the ranking according to the published methodology.

Results and winners may be displayed on the CROMCARS website.

Any material correction must be documented and explained.

17. Winner Determination

The highest-ranked eligible entry, as determined by the published scoring and tie-breaking rules, will be identified as the provisional winning entry.

The Promoter will verify the participant’s eligibility before confirming the prize award.

The result must be based on the recorded predictions and official acceleration times, not on an arbitrary or random selection.

No participant is guaranteed to win merely by purchasing merchandise or submitting multiple predictions.

18. Winner Contact and Verification

The provisional winner will be contacted using the details associated with their entry.

The Promoter may request reasonable evidence of identity, age, residence and eligibility.

Verification information will be processed under the Privacy Policy.

[TO CONFIRM: Winner response deadline, verification period, and fair procedure where the provisional winner cannot be contacted or is ineligible.]

19. Competition Prizes

Each competition page must identify its advertised prize and any available alternative.

A prize may include a vehicle, merchandise, money or another item expressly specified for that competition.

The winner’s entitlement is determined by the prize conditions published before entry.

The Promoter must not substitute a materially inferior prize without an appropriate legal basis and the winner’s agreement where required.

20. Prize Delivery and Fulfilment

The delivery arrangements for competition prizes are separate from the standard merchandise delivery period.

The 15-calendar-day merchandise delivery policy does not automatically apply to competition prizes.

Vehicle prizes may require ownership documentation, registration, transport arrangements and other fulfilment steps.

Any material winner responsibilities, taxes, collection obligations, import requirements or delivery charges must be disclosed before entry.

21. Returns, Refunds and Payment Reversals

Merchandise purchases remain subject to applicable statutory consumer rights, including cancellation and remedies for faulty goods.

Competition-entry consequences arising from a cancelled, refunded or reversed purchase must be governed by clear, fair and published rules.

The Promoter will not use competition conditions to remove mandatory consumer rights relating to physical goods.

Valid free postal entries are not dependent on merchandise purchases.

22. Fraud and Manipulation

The following conduct is prohibited:

The Promoter may investigate suspected misconduct and take proportionate action supported by evidence.

Legitimate entries must not be disqualified arbitrarily.

23. Technical Problems and Corrections

Technical failures may affect entry allocation, prediction saving, scoring or publication.

Where a verified technical issue occurs, the Promoter may take reasonable corrective action to preserve competition fairness.

Corrections must be based on reliable records and the rules applicable to the competition.

Any material change affecting a published ranking should be documented.

A previously completed competition must not be reset or recalculated merely to conduct testing.

24. Exceptional Events

Circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control may affect a planned vehicle run, technical system or prize fulfilment.

Where an event materially affects a competition, the Promoter will take proportionate steps consistent with fairness, transparency and applicable law.

Any cancellation, postponement or material change must be communicated appropriately.

25. Winner Announcements and Publicity

The Promoter may publish proportionate winner information and competition results to demonstrate the outcome of a competition.

This may include the winner’s name or abbreviated name, winning score, competition title and relevant results.

Personal information will be handled under the Privacy Policy.

The Promoter will consider applicable privacy obligations and reasonable requests relating to publicity.

26. Data Protection

Personal information is processed for entry administration, scoring, winner verification, prize fulfilment, fraud prevention and applicable legal obligations.

Information concerning merchandise orders and free postal entries may also be processed where necessary.

Further details are provided in the CROMCARS Privacy Policy.

27. Complaints and Disputes

Participants may raise questions or complaints by emailing:

[email protected]

Please provide the competition name, relevant entry details and a clear explanation of the issue.

The Promoter will investigate complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.

Nothing in these Rules removes statutory rights or access to available legal remedies.

28. Changes to the Rules

The Promoter may amend these Rules for future competitions.

Changes affecting an active competition must not unfairly or retrospectively disadvantage participants.

Any necessary correction or material change must be communicated appropriately.

29. Governing Law

These Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections and other applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in these Rules removes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
